::smiles:: It's a fun game, really! Well, if you work at a bar, I guess.

Go me, I have a fever. <-- the ever wonderful wtf face. I hope I'm not like, sick.

We had a jumping lesson with Peggy today! Wow. I was so nervous. More nervous about Kayle than about jumping. He gets so upset when he has to face a new place. God bless him, he's more neurotic that I am, and that's saying something! Plus, we still battle the Pal attachment in new situations. He did try to whirl a few times, but in all, he was VERY good! He was pretty fresh, bucked a few times, but whatever. I don't mind that. It's the "my hooves are magically bogged down by molasses, and i'm going slower and slower and WHAM let's turn around!" stuff that I don't like. Plus, seeing as how I've been running a fever all day, I was already a bit frazzled. Only one minor panic attack, and it went away pretty fast. I didn't have to like go get a drink and take a major break this time. YAY!

The lesson was OK, considering I hadn't had a jumping lesson since Feb. of 2003. Plus, we just started jumping again what....two, three weeks ago? Peggy said my position is there, it's good, I'm just a little rusty. I don't know if she was just being nice so I wouldn't spazz out, of if she was being true. lol.

She did say something that really helped me. I told her that I was frustrated that I've like, lost my bravery. And she said that yes, it's because I've had a baby, and YES IT'S OK TO FEEL THAT WAY. She's the only person to really tell me that, and to take the next step and tell me that, YOU WILL GET YOUR NERVE BACK. My mom has said, you know, well that's normal. But no horse person, esp not a trainer, has said that and really understood what I'm going through mentally.

So...it was great to ride with her again. It's been like seven freakin years! I've missed her! I guess all that two-point she made me do back then is paying off, lol. By the end of the lesson it wasn't so ugly, but I was trying to see if I could get him to get his lead OVER the fence, and I fell into my habit of leaning over his shoulder on the landing...oh well. He did get his leads though lol.

Ooook. So no one else is happy with me for planning to murder NSync. Whatever!

Ryan said he really liked my hair. And that was a freely given compliment, btw, not one fished for or even baited. He said "hey....wow, I really like your hair!" before I could even say hello to him. I wanted to ask him if I could run my hands through his but....I refrained. Even though I don't stand a chance with him, it was still nice to get a compliment from the opposite sex.

We took the beasts to the creek to "desensitize". Not that they needed it. Mister Pal wanted to swim, and Kayle just thought it was a waste of his time. If they can handle that creek, they can handle a water complex. but I will say that:

some paints have ALL the luck.

Major history test tomorrow. Meh, I should be studying but I'm not. Instead, I studied for an hour, went and saw Kayle, rode around bareback, barefooted, and in a halter for about thirty minutes, then came home to talk to my BEST friend who LOVES me even though I AM GOING TO GO STUDY SOON.

Kayle was really good. I wish he didn't have like, Rock of Gibraltr withers, so I could trot and canter without impaling myself.
